Millennial Parenting Part 2

THE GAMER.....

So far I have learned, taking doors off the hinges " Works" and banning All Gaming systems from Home "Worked".

I have done extensive research in these area's. I have found that taking a slamming door off its hinges works on anyone & for teens it grabs their attention in a very abrupt way- you would be amazed what they will do for privacy.

There are a few things I personally thought were the downfall of a Family. One being television, a television set period. Two, the lack of parenting due to busy(ness), three , you got it, the gaming systems.

I grew up with a brother whom was glued to the TV or Atari/intelevision. I have proof it does not increase motor skills, brain cognition or increase anything else other than dependency upon video games. There is no reason to ever work outside the box when you can live in a fantasy one. Its why it creeps one out to walk by an arcade and see old men in there playing video games. Don't tell me your hair doesn't stand on end when you see them preying around the arcades with kids everywhere. I am NOT talking about father and son outings either.

I have personally watched hand helds babysit the most disastrous child. I have watched the most caring sensitive child turn into a barking, rude, ill mannered sloth. Whom hates the light and outdoors I might add. Bargaining tools???? Bargaining for what? Try bargaining for Parole? What? you mean they don't listen to you with your mad gaming skills? It worked on hot wiring that car.

Hey, Millennial Parenting! Really, there is no harm in this. This is just a silly blog and one person's opinion. Its OK, that America is in the shape that it is because we have decided that something else can take the place of teaching our children. Something else can spend more time with them and something else can be their instructor, mentor and educator. We have proof this works- Our leaders, for the most part grew up during this era. The Gaming Era. Brings a whole new meaning to "I want to be President when I grow up" doesn't it!

Enough! Here is what Gaming does for us. Pictured is a kindergartner whom has hi-jacked a PSi or some hand held game and has made a make-shift dark environment outside for himself as if hidden. This only comes after I said, "get outside and play! Its a beautiful day!"

Ahhhhh, the feeling of success!
