What I'd Need? When I am What? Overwhelmed?

Huh? What? As I hear so often in my household. Exactly. This is exactly what I thought when I heard the song "I'd Need a Savior" by Among the Thirsty. I would NEED? Not that I already HAVE? Well listen to the song, its playing on here right now. You will get it too!

I post today to spread some instructions about "Overcoming being Overwhelmed". No matter how many times we think we have Him, some how something happens and we find ourselves Overwhelmed, but how? We have Jesus. How can this be? I know, its a tough one. So let me pass on to you, what was everything but an audible voice of God, from , and I will say this as gingerly as possible, from the least likely source.

You see this Help, this instruction came via a voice I can't stand to listen to! The kind that grates on my nerves! Well, Today I am so incredibly thankful I was/am willing to Hear Him through the distractions of life. I am also glad, that I was able to access this life changing instruction straight from God for a free! I didn't have to order a book or important teachings on a CD, free to download, FREE! So many times great revelation comes with a financial price, I am not going to go there, I am just thankful this hi-light of scripture and 8 key points was made available to everyone! Sometimes its important we just Show-up with our ears on!

Today I pass it on to you too! Free!

The Good... The BAD.... The

BLOG!

The GOOD, The Bad, The BLOG

Ahh, where to start? Filler space? Meeting ones 15,000 word quota for the day are we? Ranting about the wrongs and righting the rights in agreement? Our side of the story? Patronage at its best? I won't go there again, so and so said....... and this world continues on doesn't it? But not with out our Blog-professional 2cents worth!

*Empty Threats; We have all done them right? But when you have a blog or an avid blogger, now that takes on a whole new meaning. Lovin RSS feed, maybe not. There are many times I want to OUT people on here, but I try real hard to do the right thing.=)

*Strictly Encouragement Purposes; Good intentions gets an A! Until we rant. Then we plunge until we post our good recovery, help all, save the world post.

*Oh and the infamous Family updates; was this a joke or do some family's really care?
I know we have family that does, they are partners in the blogworld and "get it". I would feel real stupid if someone I knew in "real-life" didn't get it. But them having a blog themselves assures me they do.

*Cyberfriends-speaking of; These are those people you have come to know via the blog-world. You know their kids and their neighbors, you know if they can cook, sew , clean-house or even if they have an imagination! You are sad when someone they knew died or mad when they too have been wronged by an anti-child friendly place! We have a tendency to stand together on the ANTI places.

*Advice from the experienced; that is self explanatory.

*Rising out of seclusion; Label this as you will, if the shoe fits. Call it what you will, isolation is straight from the enemy, thank goodness for the window of escape. The ability to see you are not the only one and we all struggle, we all fall short and for the most part we will help you when you need to be picked up. Cyber-village. You know, its true, it takes one.

Positively Perspective!

Clueless about this very thing has been the worst part of my journey, possibly.

My Hearts Condition determines my Destiny and the journey along the way..

Luke 11:34
For your eyes are the lamp unto your soul. When your eye is sound and fulfilling its office, your whole body is full of light. but when it is not sound and it is not fulfilling its office, your body is full of darkness.

This is The answer to how you SEE it as to how you will RECEIVE it- isn't it? POSITIVELY PERSPECTIVE! Pure perspectively speaking.

This principal can be used absolutely in any instance. For example: Someones anger toward me. Arguing over what is plainly written. Its blue, no its teal,. You steal, no I asked and its borrowed. You said this, no I never would have said something like that. Perhaps this is why it says, make no appearance of evil, that way someone elses warped perspective could not make you out to be what they perceive in their heart- distorted. You can rest assured if one says and speaks negative all the time, that they are not going to see some magical goodness when they look at you or speak about you. Humm... are they even able to?

Above: I took this picture of me a couple of days ago. It sparked this perspective thing in me. For me to look at this picture, I don't recognize "me". To me, it looks nothing like me, I see it and think, gosh, camera's , trick photography- a wonderful thing..

Well Here's to beating the odds Monday!

Smack Dab in the middle of pressing through!

Job 37- perfect for the day! Read it!

So Elihu says God is in the back of the storm. Okay, then I am one day closer to HIM.

One more day closer to break through.
One more moment closer to the increased overflow of His abundance.
One ounce closer to understanding a little more of His Will for us..
One more alot, for the storm has been huge.

Ahh, to have that childlike faith we are suppose to long for and I do, to want to follow in Daddy's foot steps, to wear HIS shoes and walk in HIS ways, to never have an understanding to do anything other that what you long for and see as temporary until you are one day able to fit into the boot! The ultimate pressing through!

I took this picture of Matthew, he put on every pair of shoes in our closet he could find. His statement was "these ones, these ones I want to have when I get bigger like daddy, these ones will be mine one day!"
Laying claim at 5 to something to me that seems so far away! How could he fathom wearing these boots one day? But he does, he is positively sure and knows it will be soon.
Childlike faith! My inspiration for today and a goal I am pressing towards!

LOOK! God is Good! He gives us exactly what we ask for! We ask for strife and misery- whalah and you have it, ask for abundance and blessings and favor- whalah! Either way you go! You choose!

My 2cents: For those of you whom bring wrath upon others, whom delight in gossip and discontent of others, whom hate and bring strife, whom stir up the unsettled and weary and scared, the lost, whom give anger to the angry, whom feed the appetite of the addict- SWITCH SIDES !!! And do it quickly!
Matt. 7:16-20 We will know them by their fruit.

A Big-Fish theory

We all have them don't we? There is this thing that just won't go away with me, I call it a Big-Fish theory. When the storm comes, whose in the bottom of your boat? The unction of knowing something ain't right! What you do during this time determines your destiny.

I will preface with this: A person, a pastor, a teacher, one of wisdom here or there, speaks into your life or in general about this very thing- "God places you exactly where you are." Yeah, you asked for it. Why? Why is this happening? I am well rehearsed in this area, well versed and most experienced! LOL=) Why oh Why oh why.................

For some reason, that was and has been an irritant to me. What's been? The Answer given. Nearly everytime, I have gotten to where I know them by their answer=)...... I immediately thought of this thing called "Free will" Not Free-Willy! But Free-will is out the door then, isn't it? Better yet, what a way to excuse disobedience and disregard us not Following instruction. Even teachers, men/women of God say this, they cover up reality with a nicety- oh, God did it. So get complacent and learn to like it. After all, don't we ask why, because we want to know what we did wrong so we can change?

So we mosey on through life, never getting it, never understanding we have to choose HIM, and in doing so it means there is a CHOICE that comes with it. How nice to just flit around here and there as God puppets you to do as He wishes all day long. Isn't that our prayer?

First you must Know Him to be led by Him. Where does the Will to do His will come in if we have no Will to desire to Do His? Get that?

You should have already and stop listening to these people whom want to comfort you with the oldest line in the book- "God meant for this to happen to you, you are exactly where he wants you, well, you must be here for a reason- He placed you here, and so on and so forth." REALLY? Prove it......

You know, we can sleep through disobedience. We can be totally fine with it, until it makes someone else uncomfortable- then that is when you have to deal! Jonah 1:5-15

What would it take for someone, anyone, Friend, TV evangelist or Mini preacher or someone in a restaurant to say next time " perhaps you should pray and seek Him FIRST, repent, change directions and follow His Will for you & oh by the way do it quickly!" Because someone is about ready to come and talk you out of it!

Sure, I have no doubt, HE"S where you are and will send a Big Fish if need be.

PICTURED ABOVE: I will never forget that time , where we prayed during a horrendous storm in our life and the Heavens seemed to open up right before us- literally. I will never forget the news we had just found out that day May 09 and how we were begging for direction and where to go. It will always remind me when I see these shots taken outside of where we once lived , that it was only the next day that we would we be told that we were exactly where we were suppose to be, sometimes the escape window that God gives us is tiny & sometimes its huge! Whatever, its what you need to learn to recognize to get back on track. We have to be willing to seek it and obey.

Valentine's Past ( as far as my computer will take me, that is....)

Is it hard to remember life before digital camera's? There are days I realize, what I have is whats on the computer. Everything for me is in real-time storage=)

You know me by now and all my REFLECTIONS! Here's another one!

I believe.
Simple is good!

I believe that reflecting brings faith and hope back into perspective. Sometimes we forget, sometimes we get surrounded by so much negative- we can't see that things are good and at worst, will be better one day. This is my way of doing just that. Inspiring myself! Its always what YOU make it.

I look back on Valentines past and it makes me recall the ups and the downs. I remember the single times, the married times and the tormented times. My favorite has been my times as a mom. I have really enjoyed making valentines a sweet day for my Sweet Hearts! and Even for the Sweet Tart!

My encouragement for you- whether you are in a valley- such as myself or in the prime best times of life, which is always based on perspective, you are in control of how your children see it. That is "it" being whatever has been placed in front of you. Make it memories! Good times can be made out of hugs and a breathed "I love you".This Valentines 2010- Above: D & boys, Below: Kori whom has been sick this week!

Amazingly so, they don't remember the home, the decorations, nor the chocolates or even those stinkun tiny valentines, they remember YOU. Put them first. Be a good example of how to treat someone or to be treated- do it first & don't expect any of that candy shared with you- that comes later!

As I look back I see some funny times, nothing ever went off with out a hitch, thats why they are always funny. I loved the chocolate flying over the room, I still remember the Shock of watching it spin outta control and sling that warm sweetness everywhere. Seeing the surprise look on the kids face, where they were about to cry- because they didn't understand, sorry- but thats priceless!

Pictured: Why is Matthew sitting at a table all by himself? Because EVERYONE else ran when the chocolate hit the fan!

Global Warming

Above: Took this picture out of the back door
Our road
Kids making giant snow balls
Finding out there is such a thing of pushing too hard!
Above: When white dogs are not white

Here's to Global Warming! Let your Winter's be Winter and your Summer's be Summer!

I can say I have never seen anything so beautiful before in East Texas! We have had plenty of ice and snow on the ground sporadically thru the years ( so I have heard)- but this was non-stop snow for over 24hours, now that... I haven't seen! It was ashame, the moment it started it was only 34 degree's (the day before 20) and did finally drop to 32 for the day, it took maybe 6 hours before anything started accumulating. Only the month before ,did we cancel schools and FREAK out with the promise of freezing rain and some snow. But this time, we plugged right on thru , it started at 7:30 and 30min. before 2 o'clock they called school off -yes, at 2pm! Whooppee an hour early! I laughed. Snow piling up and kids anxiously not learning a thing in a place which never sees snow on the ground for more than a few hours! Lets just have school!

Anyway, it was beautiful. The downside and yes, you knew there had to be one, we are not free yet, there was no electricity! Surprise! So as excited as the kids were to get up and play in the foot of snow- you can imagine: "The heat will be let out of the house as soon as we open the door, we need to save the heat", "it will be weeks before they get electricity back on", "you can't play in the snow- you will get wet and then how will you get warm? You'll die of frost-bite" "You can't play outside- all of our snow gear is in storage, that's all we need is wet kids, clothes and shoes to pile this situation." " Why can't we be happy? We never see snow" "Look! God answered our prayers, its snowing" A little clip from our reality.

SO, we played in the snow. It won't last forever- remember- global warming? Clothes will dry and so will kids. How do I know? We have 4wheel drive and an awesome heater in it! So once we made a mess, got wet and freezing cold, we jumped in the truck and left for the day.. Us and the dog thoroughly enjoyed the tree's ladened with snow and ice, we loved passing through the narrow path and having snow balls hit us from the tree's- too cool! We loved stopping and talking with everyone else who were out enjoying it as well! We Love that everyone else seemed to have electricity in towns and that Mickey D's had nice warm WiFi. It was a great day in the snow! Walmart, that ol' die-hard, was packed to its gills and we stocked up on water & ramen noodles since it will be a long time before they get to us and get our electricity back on.

We got home later that evening, dreading another cold evening, psyched up for candle-lite . We came back to a warm home with electricity- the kind that had been on since noon! I have one thing to say about that! GOD! Its all HIM and HE cares about little us! The kids are convinced they can ask anything now and HE will answer!

The comparison.

Really? Already? Somehow I expected this " my foot is bigger than your foot- my hands bigger than yours!" to be more around teenage years, not after her 9th birthday!

I post this, because it excites me, I believe it is indicating that my daughter, I pray will be taller than I. My senior year I was just shy of 5'8 on the court, I just knew If I could have made the 8 mark I would have gotten even better scholarships-my personal vision of course! You are and become your surroundings- my dream then was all I knew, Basketball!! I always envied height and perhaps why I have lost inches, and I mean inches of height over the years- pure envy! oK, AND FAT. Fat bends your back. At least it curved at some points 3 inches off mine. I am glad to be slowly getting them back, increased height inches that is!!

Here is a picture of Kori's hand and mine and our feet together! Yes, my hand is the wrinkly one! Her foot is the white one.
I didn't measure her height, even though I see she has had another growth spurt there as well, I would imagine she is close to 5' 1- 1/2 now.
The comparison was to say the least, sobering.

Jaunt down Memory Lane

Pictured:
Can you find the baby in the above picture? I know some of you frantic moms would just freak having your babe asleep amongst these choking and suffocation hazards- it was a photo op. Good memories, a baby room, a baby, a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful house and great neighbors! Good times.

Surprised at another rainy cold gloomy day in East Texas? Who needs rain? We will come to you, my family and I! Email me!

I decided to take a smidgen jaunt down memory lane, mostly because I just located pictures I haven't seen since last year! Today, I decided to remind myself of the times we are blessed after the storm. There are truly too many to recall, I am just picking out ones I have photo's on in more recent times. I glanced wondering if it were material and realized there was great growth that came with each step. How else in this day in time do we see and feel blessings?

I had decided to study ACTS this week, and I did, I read thru the book and got confused at every ones name also known as.......... Seems contrite a bit, but I am glad I did it, it welled up with in me excitement that God is the same Yesterday today and forever, this just wasn't a movie the headlines for a period of time then forgotten. The weren't forgotten actors and they didn't just phase out and discontinue the commission and work for HIM.

Anyway, I feel free-er today and seem to have shed some blog stalkers, and now perhaps my monotonous blogging bored them to death and they thru in the towel and tracking=) So I feel back to the ol' drawing board!

Pictured: The result of some major hard years in our household. A fresh start to a new beginning. Dewayne and our Matthew, whom was named after this Matthew also pictured.
A complex neat story! The before pictures! As we were shacked up in a hotel for 2 months after our move from NC- the unbelievable promises not so seemingly abounding, this blessing came at 9pm at night sight unseen from a very tiresome realtor! Every place was snatched from our hands due to the base and priority given to AF. This was a huge Godthing.

After shots, we were disgruntled about back yard drainage ditch and lightning pole, but absolutely loved the increase! Flowers & plants do wonders. Wonder what it looks like now? With everything all filled in and growing.
Plants make a home ontop of the occupants=)! A concrete Garden?
Mountains at your fingertips. Well, I never liked the cold, but the blessing came after a long road of getting to jump in the truck and drive an hour and a half and have fun in the snow and come home! God gives good gifts!
