Camouflaged.

New Years Eve 09' Eston, Kori ,Josh, Matthew Can you see them? One with a plastic sword, another with another sword, one with a mp3player and the other with a gun. Camouflaged or not? Seems a bit unusual right..

Camo is a great way to describe 2009. As we all reflect on the old year ending and look forward to the New, lots of bridges crossed and camouflaged happenings to re-route for 10'.

I am anxious to get on with it, as some might say. I am going to refuse to look back and blame, my prayer is for all of us to come out from under the self imposed camo. I loved how the darkness was revealed this year, wasn't too great for the most part, but was very beneficial to see it for what it was.. Some things never change, though its nice to always hope for. Lies change lives we are proof of that.

I started 2010 fresh and this is my reminder that 09 is behind- Thank God! It goes for any wrong doing done unto me and my family, I hold no account- with a new beginning. I am choosing life instead of recollections & moving forward and upward. Inevitably this will irritate its share to not ponder and woller in misery.
A word: Get rid of your idols or they will be destroyed for you. Either way its a win win situation. I recommend doing it yourself.

I finally got it, we are all accountable for our own actions, so why should I worry about yours?

I am so thankful that we have potential. Some don't even know they've got it..

I am so glad for choice. Many are blinded by circumstance. I am thankful for family. Some have taken for granted the one true thing that is actually your own.

I am encouraged about change. Its exciting to consider it won't be like this for long.

I am expanding my vision. I refuse the desperate attempts to retain our services for new gossip.

I love my kids., I no longer wonder why me? Some how its become crystal clear.

As much as I would like to hold back on trust, I have nothing but invested time in the matter.

I have realized- if one is not worthy of being taken down, you must not have been up there to begin with.

The sound of laughter and noise is therapeutic to my soul, in others it brings wrath.

I have been blown out of the water from the blessings of others, there is nothing better than a clear view on the reaping factor- its well worth the sowing..

I never knew what it meant to not let your left hand know what your right hand was doing. Wow, so much we are blinded by. I am glad for the revelation.

What I know for certain: The least likely, is a understatement.

2010 is exciting to me, I know it will bring prosperity, it will bring envy........, it will bring restoration, it will bring the reminder of who we are in Him.

A Christmas of Miracles!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I am sooooo excited for the New Year to begin, but I do not want to forget all the miracles and blessings of this soon to be old one!

Christmas turned out wonderful. It had a rocky start as I had said before, that only made way for Miracles( there were far more than I list!)! I believe miracles are what God does in the impossible of situations. We experienced 2 mechanical miracles( the impossible to repair was repaired) and the awesome miracles of nothing turning into something. We are so thankful! The children are very thankful as well, their hearts are full, they were so excited and so thankful for what they did receive, even giving away things that they had been given. I am so thankful that they are such good kids & have such giving hearts!! They are such a blessing to us! This too also help me understand more depths of my favorite- Matt. 18.

It was a good morning, it started about 1:30 a.m. and lasted until about 5am when finally the kids settled down and we all fell asleep! We all woke around 9am. to start the Santa surprises!

Funny as it was, we all and I mean literally awoke to a clatter at 1:30am, it sounded like a cross between the wood pile falling in the house and the Christmas tree tipping over! Dewayne and I rose straight up and looked at each other and said "Naaaaaaaa", and laid back down! Neither of us could go back to sleep, wondering if we should go out and see what was a matter! We laid there coming to the conclusion that it was the wood shifting in the fireplace. Then jumped one, then two, then you know who , all in the bed excited as can be, "come in the living and room and look what was brought for me! Did you hear him? We did, his noise on the roof, we heard all the banging and knocking around, it was the reindeer - we have proof!!"

Yes, this is true it happened just as I say, we were up all night and then into the day. The kids we're so thrilled with little packages around, they had their spirit revived- all over one sound!
We traveled to Grandparents after getting up and about. It was such a blessing and a good time. More amazing stuff happened we are so thankful for.

Here are some pictures as I bounce around. Though many had snow- we didn't see a flake, it was disappointing to say the least to it to have been so close, yet so far!
10pm. Christmas eve, we were outside awaiting the snow storm that was bound for our direction. It never came.... But the 20 degree weather did!
Josh excited about his clothes from Grandma
Grandma showing Josh his name is on the "Armor".

Grama reading with the kids out of their new books Sunday Morning.

Matthew, the tree climber at Gramma's and Papa's

Openings gifts at GG's

Christmas Dinner @ GG's, Matthew starting to get wound up, it lasted the entire weekend....

Matthew and new Christmas Clothes and gifts at Grandparents, we took other shots of the others but they didn't seem to turn out as well!

Playing Dreidle- just for fun, as we learned about some of the Jewish customs Jesus and his family observed during the winter celebration- known to us as The festival of lights, Hanukkah and the Feast of reconsecration of the Temple etc. and so on... Explaining with John 10:22 about the Feast of Dedication- Hanukkah celebration and tradition that began 116 years before Jesus' birth. Acknowledging that not much emphasis is put on celebration for a purpose in the bible, surely HE did not want to distract or take away from what HE came to do. Anyway,This was fun - extending the experience of knowing HIM more and what he was like growing up. Knowing we are not Jewish, nor can we ever be, nor truly partake in their customs- but to just seek out and learn a little more about who Jesus was growing up. Not to mention, we must know about the heritage and family in which we are to be merged with- fortunately we are adopted and grafted into the vine, the family, as we all become the one for His return.

Christmas eve dinner, Awesome fresh tamales, and tortilla soup with all the trimmings- yum! Our inner Tex-Mex survives. Kids opened the gifts from us- the kids got age appropriate bibles and bible covers. Their growing up...

Almost Christmas

Too cute of a tree! The kids found this one and planted it and started decorating it with berries, too adorable!

All I want for christmas is my two white teeth! Yes, after going thru all that we have over these teeth- they finally started clearing- bruising going completely away and what happens? He got kicked in the mouth last week! The bruising came back even darker and now the teeth are all loose- oh well, we tried=)

There were many Post title's I ran thru before this one- "Christmas in Captivity" self induced, "Christmas in Surviville, TX- just trying to make it", well, you get the point. We made a huge mistake trusting, ok, sorry, not we- just me... Its what I am famous for! Hindsight sux but valued. I take in the valuable lesson I learned but once again and I will work even harder towards bringing peace and happiness and balance to my family- there is nothing like a peaceful home and we sure miss it and they sure know the difference now!... I can think of every home and every visitor always commenting on how "peaceful" our home was.... I will let you in on a secret- its on Purpose. Peace on Purpose, Goodwill towards men. Folks, theres something to that. Fried RIBS! Yum! Thanks to my good friend Sharon and her uncle's store on 25th st. long ago. D has now mastered the art of Fried Ribs!

The Kids are excited, got off to a rough start I guess one could say, not having our place or our decorations, our way of celebrating and getting excited etc.. Not to mention how we are intruding.. I think they got a little apprehensive at first- until they saw presents under the tree! Matthew is convinced that if we don't hide the presents that are already there under the tree- Santa won't find him and give him gifts.. I asked why he thought that and he said "because its not our house and he might not know we are here, plus if he goes by and see's these kids got presents, then he won't leave any more! So Hide the clothes!(get it?)" We thought we were helping them get excited when we put some gifts under the tree since they seemed so sad this year. There only requests for Christmas on their lists were to leave & one wrote "Home"..

We have tried to teach the kids Home is where we are... Its not a building, or a structure of any kind, its where happiness dwells- love and kindness for one another-I guess they are smarter than we thought.

No Christmas pictures this year, very strange not doing this. Thus, no Christmas cards either. In lots of ways and traditions it doesn't seem like Christmas to us at all.. However its a monumental opportunity to teach us how not to be and we are understanding quite early on the Gifts of the Spirit & of how important they are. Year round.

It takes being in the dark to crave the light sometimes- and for that we are thankful to know the difference...

We have learned that gift giving truly comes from the heart- this year we experienced more miracles. Giving is not a Chore.. It is not something you do because you have to, because you don't. Giving is not givng if there is no joy. You cancel out any blessing when you give out of pocket and not heart. This year put a new spin to things, hearts were revealed once more..

I am determined to not let discouragement attach to me and become habit for me in years to come. Excitement in Giving, seeing faces light up, that is the pure Joy of it- the anticipation of the excitement. I can't wait! We watched Christmas in Canaan about how the dad wrapped pretty boxes and had cut out nice things out of a magazine and placed it in the boxes- "Because thats all he had to give was his heart". It makes me cry thinking of how true that is- Giving of your Heart..... The perfect gift.

We also get to experience once again, how God never fails, He found us and blesses us, we can't out give or out run Him. So nice for the kids to see Him work first hand. We are so thankful!

Hanukkah!

Happy Hanukkah!

We decided to include some of the Hanukkah Festivals this year with Christmas. Why not? Festival of Lights, Miracles? Call it what you want to celebrate what God does for His people. John 10:22 Jesus observed and participated(feast of dedication). We want the kids to know and understand the Jewish faith, this is as good of time as any to start! Its easy to do when you have Jewish friends to give you tips along the way! Shalom!

Now its A time to catch up.............In the spirit of Miracles!

There is no way to catch up on here from where I left off! I am revising my blog and calling it "YOU INSPIRE". Pictured: "Dreaming Big"
I am going to revamp it and make it less personal and more inspiring-possibly, if that makes sense. I am working on it presently & soon I hope to have it up soon.. One hour of time now has evolved into weeks....

Since November-
Pictured: A Great Thanksgiving at Grama's & Papa's & their cats!

Where do I start? Thankfulness. Lots of that. We have experienced so much goodness- its Miraculous! With it comes demonic attacks- Booooooooo! Which haven't been fun, for every good thing that happened, it seemed as though something evil chased it down. By the Grace of God we just ran and hid under His wings for it to pass. I can't tell you how thankful I am. I am so thankful I am excited again about our future. And finally, epiphany! I realized thanks to the movie "Christmas Carol" that there is always Hope. Whah? Where did I go with that? Its a spirit issue! Its a real unseen spirit. As Ebenezer's wife said in the movie " You have put yet another Idol before me and it has taken you over- you are not the same man as I made contract with- I release you". EXACTLY! Only I choose to look at that in another context. What Idols have we erected in our lives? Is their repercussions in doing so? Is there time to make it right? What will it take for us to recognize it? What about Marley?
There are real Scrooges in this world & not just at Christmas time, they are bitter, angry and cold and have no value for people because an idol has been erected in their lives. Sadly there are real Marley's as well. Funny how they partnered in life together isn't it? We attract what we are- like spirits. You see Marley didn't get the chance that Ebenezer did- or did he?
There is time for change- use it wisely- don't let it pass you by!

UPDATES
*Kori*
Kori has a new Look! She is really growing! I took pictures only to have the camera go on strike for a while, Miraculously its back to working and I was able to get the pictures off!

*The 3 of us once again*

One weekend we had one going to a birthday party and another at someones house and it left Matthew with Mommy and Daddy! So we took a picture and had fun running around, he never perked up until the others got back- then he was himself again! I am so thankful we have and are raising our kids to love one another and enjoy each company! People are too precious.
*Daddy had a birthday*

Someone whom has conveniently not remembered for years now how old he was turning had another birthday! We made a cake and had a birthday breakfast! * Notice my bleeding hearts in the BD Cake!

Me? Well I had lost nearly 77lbs. this summer and somehow I manage to puff up in every picture I take=)))LMBO-not! NTM, white skin does me harm, a tan glow always makes a difference with me. I didn't gain really that much back, but my eyes stay puffy & my face and tongue- yep. It takes a long while before it will even make a dent I suppose- but I will keeping pressing thru until I reach the next 90 lbs!I had been off a couple of weeks I chose the Thanksgiving holidays for my "Load days" so far I don't feel off to a productive start- but I am only on day 9 of vlcd, so time will tell.. I realized stress does me bad. I don't look good under duress- some people pull it off and you never knew, not me- I have never been gifted in that area.. I knocked out Osteen's newest book and that has encouraged this journey immensely. Yeh, I have always been the gullible one and with that comes hurt. I always say I won't trust again- but I do it anyway. I don't feel bad about that anymore. I know things will get better. I have had to let go and realize that we are all accountable for our own actions, that in its self brings me peace.
