-Could be Snide remarks from the boiling pot-
Amidst the incredible heat- lies unbeknownst lessons.
*110 degree's with 100% humidity means its more than hot, it means your aquatic and can breath sweltering water droplets.
*Its true, challenges promote growth in character- not just in the one's who experience the heat- but those who respond to the hurting selfishly- for they fail the test. Which only means another Do-over down the road.. Aren't we all Thankful for that?
*Its is absolutely a gift from God. Children. . He surely knows what we cannot see. I no longer question God on Why...
* Along with that same thought, I now understand why those in poverty seem to have more children( I will get back with you on that!). And why some ... I am truly sorry for ever giving any thought into why me.. Now, I have no doubt .
*I understand what "fruit" means. In drought conditions, I have been pushed into a greater search for goodness of people. When found- ahhhhh. refreshing and sweet.
* The greatest task this summer: Unconditional love. I by far have not mastered it, but it is my greatest desire. This summer has been excruciating in teaching me so.
*I finally got it! Sins is sin. Just because I was hurt by a sin- didn't make me holier than them. Because I chose a different method of sin. Get it? Lying ='s cheating ='s adultery ='s murder ='s faithlessness ='s covetness ='s drunkenness ='s pridefulness ='s tormentors ='s get it? All sin is equal, cast the first stone if you are with out any... amazing stuff to me.
*Have you ever rendered aid in the form of a loaded gun while you were wearing a cross and bible?
*
Have you ever had to give your resume' to some one in need to show your qualifications in giving them advice, since they would not recognize them by your behavior?
*This hot summer taught us to be Thankful & not groan over the manna. There were even some points we griped and experienced help rendered in poisoned quail. Thank GOD we did not partake in it. Thank God we listened to Him.
*I learned about judgement. Have you ever wanted something so badly in your prayers to the Lord and then blew it the next day when the Lord gave you someone to help? I have.
Judgement is a double-sided-serrated sword, it gets you coming and going. It saddens me to hear that those who have cut down are awaiting great things from God.
From experience, forgive quickly. Respond gently.
*Kids grew. They learned to play without friends and amongst themselves. Who knew.
*Matthew 18 became one, if not my favorite chapter in its entirety out of the bible. I always have favorites that pertain to whatever I am going through- but I think this is so well rounded and I really really love it. It seemed to comfort and apply to everything this hot sultry summer.
*I totally view "dial-up internet" as a sick joke.
