Me & Him and everything else.

I decided to blog about me & him today. As you can tell, I didn't find many pictures of just me & him. The ones I found were... old.
I have pages I could write, but I am just going to leave it with pictures.
I thought about blogging about doing housework to the cheetah girls " dig a little deeper" track from their India CD- then you know its gotta be bad! But instead I decided to leave my last blog for the weekend about he. Dewayne...... as I so often put it so not so sappy on my blog.
I will be away this weekend to my moms. She is excited she has alot of wood that is down and needs to be cut and split- hurray! Perhaps I will get pictures and pretend like we are not really coming in for her birthday in which she turned 70, and pretend that I really want to continue this habitual lifestyle of enabling a 70 year old person to continue cutting and chopping her own wood to stay warm! If you know my mom, you know she will kick my butt when she reads this and willwork circles around me in the process. I have much respect for her and only will smart off to her in my blog!hahahaha. Well heres to that love-language weekend of Acts of Service! Hope she likes her birthday present- LOL! get it? acts of service... never mind=)

Who Blogs on a Day like this?

Wake to bickering and arguing. Dump-truck dumping dirt a couple yards from your back fence( several days in a row now due to new construction-lovely)- dog going crazy. Its not 7:30 yet and I am not a morning person. Hairs not brushed, teeth not brushed and your late for school-get out the door! Sit down and eat your breakfast in the Kitchen! You guys know better! Pay attention when you pee! Quit peeing on the floor! You have the ability to aim for pete sakes! I am sick of cleaning up pee every morning!
Some one let the dog out! Who dumped the tupperware container full of sugar on the floor? OMG! WHO POURED WATER ON IT! ( About 6 cups of sugar)

Who Blogs on a day like this?

Oh I forgot, this is everyday!

As I have lately been battling Spring Fever, Cabin fever and whatever else you can think of.. I have thought of taking a break from my outlet out into the world- blogging... But as you can see I haven't done that yet! I am ready for change or is it that I can't get over dissappointment? If I hear "Mommy, when are we going back home" one more time I think I will pass-out. I am sorry! I can't Fake liking it here-somethings just not right! Its horrible! We were deceived in sooooo many ways! By soooo many people!

Todays forecast- high of 92/94 degrees- winds 25mph.(which is pleasesant when dirt is being dumped at your back door- so much for breathing today) NTM...I couldn't bring myself to take of pic of the mound of wet sugar=(

Well- guess I should get the boys out of time- out.... and clean up the Sugar-mess!

Almost forgot some light hearted humor!

This am. as I arise not looking forward to the messes I did not clean yesterday- which will have to be done today.

I stumble through the living room over toys, clothes, empty wrappers- heck, whatever else you can think of......This is what the #4 says:

(very authoratative I might add)
DAHWAYNE is NOT GOING TO LIKE THIS! pointing and referring to the living room!

I say to myself "well, what about me?" I don't like this either and I have to be in it 24 hrs. a day.
I alwasy refer to their daddy as daddy! Whats with DAHWAYNE! Hilarious, because NOPE he would have gone nuts and they knew it!
Ah... the things kids will say before I have had a cup of coffee!

Kori's 1st Date!

Father-Daughter Dinner Feb. 21, 2009

This has got to be one of the sweetest things I have witnessed.

In Preparation: I gave Kori the option- Buy a Dress or go to a salon and get your hair done and prepared for the night. She picked a dress. 30min. first stop, first shoppe, first dress. Were done. Not quite what I thought. There are some times I am glad I don't have the girlie girl prissie all I want to do is shop kind! Nice. Then as we are in the mall, she just wants to go home and play with her friends- Coool! What I thought would be an all day venture was under an hour. We didn't have to start getting ready until close to 4- but wouldn't ya know, she was ready all after noon- so I gave in and thought of some things that could prolong the preparing time and we hung out in the bathroom- I was going to put part of her hair up on top- tight curled- but quickly she stopped that- "I want my hair done the way it is!" Well, no. I am brushing it and I will curl it and you will love it. Lots of fun. I took pictures upon pictures- this was kool. We fiddled with shoes and which ones to wear, we couldn't decide the scarf shaw or not, it was great.
Daddy was a true gentleman. He gave her a corsage and a card in which he wrote a very awesome note in ( I wanted to say where's mine?LOL) She was gleaming and he was beaming- very awesome. Once they got to the dinner they had valet parking and she was swept of her feet and ushered in for the evening.
They did an arts and craft together- making a picture frame and Dad's got note cards to write their princess' a special note. She has memorabilia now......

The Above is Kori not amused at having to wait to get ready! What can ya do when she doesn't want her hair done! A very Shocked Kori when she asks her daddy to bring her shoes please, and he shows up with these! Daddy! Was what she exclaimed.
Kori read every word her daddy wrote her and was very happy receiving her card and flowers.
Had to get this shot! Love Our sweet baby girl getting her kiss!
This is just before dinner while the baby grand and bass cello played and before the lights dimmedDuring dinner The picture above is afterwards as they headed toward the mall to 'show-off" . She told me how shy she was as every one told her how beautiful she looked. Her daddy later tells me, she didn't say much all night. I said "two peas in a pod!"

Family Watch Dog- -interesting...

For years I have as most do subscribed to some sort of internet notification of child molesters who move with in a radius of where I live. Living in small towns, living in large cities whatever.
http://www.familywatchdog.us//

I am not a spooky kind. I don't flip-out if I get the infamous card in the mail of my neighbor across the street. I go ask. I am so glad because let me tell you- what if I had assumed I knew the situation based on the notifications(which is awesome by the way) or by the way this person looked? I have had a friend who was wrongfully accused and went down for it. while in jail, his girlfriend who was the underage minor would come visit. It was racially motivated- her parents were deacons in the large local church and were also prejudice. Very easy conviction.
After he served his 3 years- he got out and married her. He has a hard time finding a job with his now life-long rap of child sexual offender. Not to mention- can't drop the kids off or pick them up at school.
One time we had a notification of the guy that lived across the street. After talking to him, the same thing had happened- and he too was with the same girl who had put him away for 3 years and ruined his life. These guys had never been in trouble before. I distantly knew of another in NC. that this happened to. We lived in the same Community and the local moms would crucify the guy and his family on a regular daily basis. I always wondered why he had extremely large vicious dogs around his house in his yard. One day a Sheppard got out an attacked a kid( I happened to have seen the kid on many occasions throwing rocks at the dog- I had to get on him quite a bit). One day when this offender was walking by my house to the park with his 2 small girls. We asked him about the dogs. He said he had to have them to protect his family. People have even tried burning down his house w/his wife and 2 babies in it because of his "registered" status. I asked him why was he registered- you got it, he married the very girl that put him away and had been married for nearly 7 years now w/ 2 little girls. It was her daddy that didn't like him. Needless to say I did not become the popular mom in the neighborhood once I revealed his situation. These people wanted to be angry at him and treat his family badly. Regardless.
I say all this because I got another notification today of an offender moving in the hood. a 10 mile distance is what I have inputted into the system. Here are some alarming stats for me personally.
I live in Abilene- pop. 100,000 give or take a few.
I used to live in Charlotte, NC pop. close to 700,000 give or take a few

#of offenders in Abilene w/in 10 miles=270- all but 4 are child offenders.

#of offenders in Charlotte w/ 10 miles of my home=17- all but 6 are child offenders.

You might say there is something wrong with the number. The total registered for Charlotte is 425. The total for Abilene is around the 270.
Recently updated both places.

Interesting. Guess that makes Abilene rocking per capita w/ sex offenders!
Why the huge difference? Actually I know why.

Trying to find the Nuggets.

Photobucket(You can always click on the pic to see the whole thing-couldn't get it downsized)

Life.

I have found myself on this ride that really is one I would like to have gotten of of a long way back! I feel like I am at one of those town carnivals- when you get on the noisy contraption that is shaking back-n-forth and you have really sized it up as totally UNSAFE, not to mention the totally inebriated carnie that can't find his way to the switch board to turn the ride on. So as you spin out of control, you want it to stop, but its not looking very favorable- he's passed out in the chair by the gate! Every had one of those rides? I have. You have to get the attention of the people waiting in line, then they can wake the guy up and flip the switch off.
Photobucket

Well, that's kinda how I feel lately. I want off! I want out! I am not coming back to this carnival! Determined that if I can get out of this- I promise, I will make a better choice next time.
The only thing is- once you rode the ride, you can't take it back.

Spring will soon be around the corner. I love spring. I have made a list- a tiny list of things I would like to do when the dizziness subsides from this ride.

Plant a garden, oh that is so good for my soul personally. I want to establish a flower bed and get it up and going, right now- its a oval of red dirt.

One day I plan to unpack the things that make me smile. You know the trinkets or art or whatever it is that you see with-in your home and smile. I love my kids- but I really do want more things up on the wall other than their pictures!

I def. know painting is in order- I love painting. However, I do not like it around small children- they get way too many ideas and you all have witnesses that thru-out the years!

I have 3 very large "recessed" area's in my house that need decorations- Of course having issues with themes- I have to pick the right one for each area. Thus, why after nearly 6 months these area's are bare. I would rather have nothing than a jumbled up mess.

Get pictures in albums. All that time joking about the 66 gal Rubbermaid's full of loose photos ended up not being too funny. I did finally get them separated and into separated boxes/containers according to each child. I am thinking, I can't comprehend if I did that all for the sake of one childs Rubbermaid being totally gone from the move! Every single picture of hers is gone. I was real good at making sure from birth to present was all kept together. So now I have three containers and 4 children. Nice. I have to go thru the packed things still in garage- the movers labeled things crazy- I pray they are out there somewhere amidst the boxes..Some how I don't think I would be living out of boxes or even worried about them if I were living here! Of course, Dewayne has to remind of the snakes and monkeys!

A Wave.

I have to know, are you one of these people?
Oh come one, its a blog- you can tell the truth- better yet, explain why also!

A Wave. a hand gesture of friendliness. A motion made by one saying " Hello, how are you?"
A jerk of ones appendage that says, "here, ya satisfied?" Back atcha. A wave says, I acknowledge that you are there and I am here. A wave says I am expressing communication. Hi. Hey. Hello.

No biggie right? Ok then, who have you waved to this week? How about those neighbors? Are you the one who zips out of your drive and reaches down to get something adjusted so you can have a reason to turn your head and not acknowledge someone is waving at you?
Are you then kind that thinks if you have your sun-glasses on, no one can tell where you are looking in your car and- you were just too preoccupied in thought to see the person wave?
Do you wave? Is waving out? What happened to an outwardly display of friendliness?
How about when your outside and some one walks by, do you say hi? Do you wave at them- anything to acknowledge their presence? Do you only do this to your good friends, the ones you don't actually know- don't count?

I'm a waver. I like to wave at my less than 20 neighbors in my small community of houses. I for the life of me, don't get it. I can wave, jump up and down, say HI, do acrobatics and they will turn their head so they don't have to respond to me waving. Are you laughing? I am. Were talking grown-ups. What do those children who have their eyes glued to me think when their mini-van mom flies by my house and purses her lips- as if to say dam-it- stop it. I like the older kids who want to wave- but obviously something is said and they look away quickly- Aw.. way to go parents- great examples! Now a couple of hundred pounds ago, I could have told you why this phenomenon happens. But these days- Oh come on? Was I too nice or are you too bitter? Are you preoccupied every single freakin day of your life? Do you hate people and you want to prove it? Or is it the protocol for where we live?
Tell me- you wave or not? Explain your answer- please, my inquiring mind wants to know.

A Such thing as Too Far back!

Senior Graduation Picture 1987

As I loaded pictures onto Facebook this am. for our High School Group, I decided to quit freaking out and come do a blog post! As most, I too, had waaay tooo much fun in school and high school.
Awards at Athletic Banquet
I have Awesome memories. I had awesome friends! I had awesome opportunities!

I pulled alot of shenanigans, did alot of cool stuff, got plenty of scholarships and yet, some how none of that matters now=) I am in hopes especially the shenanigans part is forgotten! Sure, I was in Tennis, Track, UIL, Parlimentary Procedure Team, Debate Team, District, Reginal this and State that. Ohh lets not for get Cheerleading- Though I was kicked out of that quit a few times in HS years.. There is such a thing as too far back and what really matters now as to what I have done with it all!
I can tell you I thought I had died and gone to hell when we moved from the beach in South Fla. Hollywood, to the deep piney woods of East Tx. Avinger.

There were no words in the world to describe how I felt. I can tell you, from gangs to glory- it was the best thing that happened to me- with out me ever knowing it. The large Broward County schools inspired me in the wrong directions- my Haitian and Cuban friends did as well( though I still wish I could locate them and say hi). Where as moving to a small country school didn't inspire me at all. It invested time into me without knowing the outcome. This town loved me even when I hated them. They continued to walk along side of me and encourage me to be the best I could be here. I am not sure I ever really did that, I just know I had fun! I knew I couldn't escape quick enough, once I left, I truly never looked back. Now that I am catching on to facebook, that is all that place prompts me to do- is look back. Not sure how I really feel about that.

Anyway, here are some pictures I had I thought I would post. I had the same boyfriend from the 7th grade up until he graduated and went to play FtBall @ Univ. Of Tex. UT in 85' .. Somehow around 86' he decided to spare me from marriage and asked for the ring back. He didn't get it back- but we were definitely over. I still have his class ring/promise ring- I think somewhere, his letter jacket and his Ag. jacket and who knows what else- I would love for him to have them back to give to his children. But then again, he is now a Doctor at a Childrens Hospital and probably looks to UT for his memorabilia=)

I had fun! I had so much fun it should have been illegal! Oh wait it was! Just kidding!
I think back then what was my passion. I was a holy roller at the Pentecostal church in the town over and refused to wear dresses and wore make up- Lord knows, I wore the shorts in the sports! haha My passion was Basketball- I wanted to play it forever. I was afraid I knew the truth and it wouldn't take me very far but a couple of years in college. So I opted for a longer term career in lieu of. A glimpse of 86' 87'.

I may be the Only one you ever know who could talk to an Ewok.
.My Mother has this picture Above labeled "Halloween 87'"! Though it was my Homemade dress for 87' Sr. prom- & taken just before I left the house to go to the prom
My Basketball Days. I was very fortunate to be a starter all 4 years of HS. I only played Post/Center. I had the same #52 every year and of course it coincided w/ Ryan's HS & UT FB #
This was Hughes Springs Prom 85' with my boyfriend of many years 7th grade thru nearly 11th grade.
The only proms I had a date to was obviously both of his. My Junior and Senior Prom I went with my best friends and we had a blast!

Wonderful End to a Wonderful Weekend!

Beautiful Flowers! You know I am going put flowers on here any chance I get! Dewayne parents brought these to us for V-Day!

We had D's parents in for the weekend and it was just Awesome! Dewayne and I got to sleep Kid-free Valentines night(Yes, in our own house!)- What a treat that was! Our original intentions were to watch "Night in Rodanthia" and eat Choc. and Drink wine all to our selves up-stairs. We made it up there in time to pass-out and sleep peacefully.. Our kids had such a great time this weekend, that they were so worn out that by 8 pm. tonight they were more than ready for their OWN beds! hurray!

This is as soon as Papaw & Gramma GG got here
They were nice enough to bring Josh his knight armour back to him that he had forgotten at their house, He kept it on most of the weekend- including now as he sleeps

I was trying to think "Festive" for Valentines Dinner. Very unusual I did NOT include Chocolate in anything. Like I said kinda strange. But this strawberry shortcake trifle turned out great!

We had a great Valentines Day, Kids loved their Chocolate in a hurry from Grandparents. We went to Red Robins for lunch and grilled Steaks for Valentines Dinner. I made an Avocado & Strawberry Salad- umm.. Broccoli salad ( Ok, must have been on a green kick!) The guys grilled the steaks and we had Baked Potatoe ( kinda) and sauted mushrooms.
Today we took a jaunt out to see the worlds largest Wind Farms. Beautiful Day for a drive.

Visit to the Wind-Farm

We had to show them our newest dicovery- the Prairie Dog Town at the local park- quite interesting especially since we never knew it existed and frequented the park many times this summer. Its a very large one to say the least, were sure glad we know it exists now! Too cute!

The perfect Ending to a great weekend was this- Crazy, I know!Pictured Is something I would have called plain disgusting!

Chicken Fried Bacon! Yep, apparently its a Texas thing, I haven't had it any where else that I know of. But once you have it, its addicting, kinda like Fried Ribs! Fried Bacon, then battered and deep fried- OMG! Guess that means double the sin! It taste unbelievably good!
